i like this guy in my class, but we don't talk much. We have just met since the class has begun and im starting to get to know him better through chatting online. Online, i do most of the talking. But i am interested and would really like to know what to do next. I haven't told him that i like him, b/c im afraid of the consequences. How would i get closer to him to let him know that i like him, without scaring him away? Or to get past that awkwardness point? Any good advice?

Maybe give him more of a chance to talk and you do the listening? If by enthusiastic, you mean pushy, then there's a good chance you could scare him away. In your chatting, find out what he likes to do. If you find something mutual, then ask if he'd like to do it together.

When you see him in class try to arrange a place to just hang. When you agree on a place start out will a joke nothing corny just something to break the ice. Then just feel him out you will know if it is the right time to say something. If you get that vibe then the rest his history.

Ask him if he'd like to go to a movie or something maybe a bite to eat. Something to get a face to face convo going. Be the Ice Breaker if he's interested he'll come out of his shell.

Just talk about something that he might be intrested in and act like you r 2 then just keep talkin about that one subject and you'll get his attention and he'll be like wow she is my soulmate and once he sounds intrested just tell him how you feel about him

If he doesn't like you for who you are, then boo. Too bad for him. Talk to him to see how he reacts. If he's scared, then he is not for you. There is always a chance though. Go for it!
