Hmmm, im not sure, his team has the best record in the NL. The Mets are a good team this year. Plus they have Julio Franco, the guys 48 and still playing in the pros.

As someone else stated before, I think Randolph is an average manager with a talented team.
But, having said that, I think people place way too much emphasis on managers. While National League managers have it much harder than those in the American League, the manager's function is still pretty basic: to fill out the line-up card. It's not as if they actually go out and play the game themselves.
However, Randolph is decent at what he does. But, you have to give as much, if not more, credit to the talent he has.

Nothing Succeeds like success.
Willie Randolph is doing a great job with the N.Y. Mets.
It's Joe Torre with the New York Yankees that New Yorker's should be looking at. And, take a peak at Brian Cashman.

The Mets are in first, by a lot. That is the only test in baseball for a manager.

Really good. The New York Mets didn't get where they are by accident.

He's in first place with a big cushion - must be doing something right (I'm a big Yankee fan and hated to see him go.)
