i don't know. Most of the questions are asked just to gain points, and most of the answers are given just to gain points. The incentive is getting some sort of prize for answering a lot of questions and getting it picked the best answer.

I asked some questions with some stupid and wrong answers.

In the end, it's greed, my friend.

You can fatten up the state treasury with donations or by gambling proceeds. In this world, you take the gambling proceeds to the bank.

I think it is the "points" even though they really don't mean anything. Points have become generalized reinforcers for most of us. I think there a behaviorist definately had somehting to do with creating this program. We're on a variable ratio schedule of reinforcement, the kind that increases and maintains the highest levels of behaviors.

I love it because I'm always wondering what sort of stupid question people are going to ask next. Some questions just hurt my head. Like this lady who asked how to change her fetus's race because she slept with a black man and get pregnant but her rich fiance is a bigot and would absolutely break up with her.

Good question! Maybe it makes us feel smart to answer, or good to help someone! Some just want points. It is interesting to see what people will ask. I have not asked a single question,
I just like to answer!

Because people can add questions and answers as much as they please. So the number of questions and answers grows "additively."

Did you mean "addictive?"
Perhaps because it's very quick gratification, good for those with short attention spans?

because there are points and everyone likes points. Its like those stars we all worked so hard for in school, useless yet still worth getting.
