Sure they can. You have to meet someone and talk to them and get to know them before you date them or get married right? Who says there is a rule as to where you meet them? you can meet them in person and its just like meeting them any other way. you actually get to know someone better on the net because you arent judging them based on looks first.

I am the wrong person to ask. I just got royally screwed by somebody I met on the net. It was friendship. The thing is you can say you are the president of your own company, you are rich or what ever and it can all be crap because who's gonna know any different when one person lives in Utah and the other in France. I hope it lasts for some people but I didn't have a good experience.

As with any type of relationship, the depth and length vary.
I have a niece who met, dated, and married a guy from an internet site.
In general,I wouldn't advise it,but if certain protections are taken it's obvious it can work out.

If kept within the realm of the net, probably. But face to face, it could be a whole different ball game.

mostly virtual I guess. You can say what you want to anyone, make up your story. Nobody to read your bodylanguage and see your face as you speak. Nah - face to face is a relationship for real.

just think of it as a screen's relationship, mouse/keyboard's friend/s. Its depends on you.....to decide how long the cyber relationship would last..
