I have a friend that is not well right now, and has driven off the road 4 times in a 2 mile stretch, and he think there is nothing wrong with him. He had a road rage inncodent, where he pulled off the road with his sick wife in the car, he got out and proceeded to get into a fight with the other driver... I would like to know several different ways to disable a vehicle, and would like to use them all, as I do not know how mechanically inclined he is, but I know that this will at least slow him down. He shouldn't be on the road. I am interested in keeping other drivers, and pedestrians safe. He is too ill, and should be under medical care, although refuses. Please help

Well fortunatally for me I did not have to use any of these great tips left by everyone, because my friend is in the Critical care unit, and we aren't sure if he's going to make it. Thank you

take a fuse out that says fuel pump, or pull out the relay that says fuel pump, or pull the plug off of the map sensor on the air cleaner, or just loosen battery cable and put a piece of cellophane in between cable and battery!

You could pull the distributor cap off (that is the thing that the spark plug wires all go to off of the main part of the engine) or you could simply disconnect the wire to the alternator. There are lots of things you could do. Take out the spark plugs and put the wire covers back on so it looks like nothing is wrong. The distributor cap is probably the easiest but if he looks at the car and knows what he is looking at he will no right away. The alternator wire is a little less obvious and it could have just fallen off. Get the owners manual out of the glove box if you don't know where this stuff is or look online. Good luck and thanks for thinking of others:)

take the coil wire off, it is usually the short spark plug wire which connects in the middle of the distributor. or you can get under the car and disconnect the starter wires, these are not that easy to find if you are not mechanically inclined.

some vehicles have ignition fuses, you could pull that fuse also, that will not let no power go through. as you see from my answers you need to kill the electrical works of the car, i believe they are the safest things to do.

if your friends parents are near, have them contact your friend since some times it will take a parent to get a child (adult child) to do what they need to do.

It's easy and frustrating as hell to fix unless you have a diagram. This is what you do.....
Open the hood and copy down the correct placement of all the sparkplug wires (put the diagram in a safe place) then unplug the wires and put them back in a mixed up order. Guaranteed the car will not start it will only sound like it will and he will wear down the battery trying to start it. To fix it follow the origional diagram when you replace the wires in its proper place. Enjoy watching him start it.

certain things depend on what type of vehicle it is but basics include removing the ground strap between the chassis and engine block, removing coil wires, removing the rotor out of the distributor, if u wanted it to take awhile to figure out or fix, and cost a little bit of money, reach up under the dash and start cutting wires at random lol

pull the coil wire. it's the wire that doesn't go to a spark plug but looks like a plug wire. pull the ingnition fuse. hide the keys. pull the valve core out of all four tires. remove the distributor cap or coil pack.

Best to just loosen the coil wire - center wire from the distributer.

That way it will not be obvious.
