Just think that a lot of songs sound the same nowadays, they seem to have the same beat. It seems like these artists just can't be bothered anymore, like they are so rich, they don't even have to work to make an original sounding song. Any agree? Or add to this?

Queedy Angel, good answer, but I can't agree about the Black-Eyed Peas. :D

Me definately. It really has gone way way down. I agree with those that wrote before me - what has happened to the individual and creative style of music brought about by Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, Elvis - i mean real legends here that have made about 4 or 5 albums bulging with hits before bringing out their 'Greatest ever hits'.

Now in comparison, look what we have to put up with these days : Crazy Frog, Black Eyed Peas, Maddonna (oh just please go away already and stop pretending that that is your NATURAL face....we all know you starting using botox back when the dinosaurs were around).

I want to hear creative, individual, unique music that has had real thought and soul put it to it. What i don't want is some cheap record that was penned by a group of fat-cat money making fakes who plunge cloned record after record into the charts....and all for a bit of capitol.

What i find sad is that, songs like 'Crazy Frog' do actually make it to number one and that sums up what is wrong with music these days.

Yeah...and the songs today are mostly remakes of the old popular one. its either the lyrics contains dirty words or the beats are almost the same. You could hear only a few which is original.

I still listen to Jimmie Hendricks. The guy was a true artist, in every form of art imaginable.

I completely agree. Anything can be a song now. "who let the dogs out?" I think that they find a creative beat with anyone else's music add stupid catchy lyrics and boom! new hit....radio is crap.

I agree... it makes a huge difference though to what kind of music you listen to.. I think what you generally hear on radio/tv/internet is absolute crap... but I grew up on classical music.. and that's forever!!
