I came off the pill (went out of town and forgot them) when i got back I talked with my doctor and she said to just wait until the start of my next period. My last period was June 17th, and I am due for a period July 15 or so. Here is the issue. My boyfriend and I got a little carried away on the night of July 2nd and had unprotected sex. My breasts were really sore on the 2nd and the 3rd but i didn't think anything of it until I read that those days would have been my ovulating days and breast tenderness happens when you ovulate. So now I am pretty much scared because the doctor told me "well if you were trying to have a baby, the time you guys did would have been the most opportune time to get pregnant." I know that i have to wait until my predicted period to really get an accurate test...and that we were irresponsible - but i need some outside opinions.... Could i have a high chance of being pregnant?

Yes you could be pregnant, most definately. Theres only a 20% chance that you can get pregnant in any ovulation cycle, but that is still a chance.

You have several options though, iif you are.

Try calling planned parenthood, and speaking wth a counselor about your options. Theyre very caring and will respect any choice you decide to make. They will also tell you about the morning after pill, that you can use just in case this happens again.

So let me get this straight.
You had unprotected sex on the 2nd of July.
And your breasts were sore the same day and the day after.
The 2nd and the 3rd were your ovulating days.
Right?
You have to ovulate, the egg gets sent down your tubes into your uterus and waits. All taking about 4-5 days, the same about it would take the sperm to reach the egg. So I would say yeah, there is a good chance you could get pregnant. But honestly, there are only three days out of a month when a woman has no chance of getting pregnant. So you could say that for about 27 days a month.
I wouldn't worry about it until your August period that you do or don't have. You can always do the morning after pill.
If I were you I would just start back on the pill with your next period. If you are already pregnant that pill won't hurt anything. I was on the pill for over three months and had a healthy baby in Feburary.

It sounds like there is a chance you could be pregnant, I don't think there is any way to know for sure until your next period. Some tests now may work a few days before you are supposed to get your period but if it came up negative you probably would want to take another test later. How long before you missed pills had you been on the pill? My husband and I are thinking about starting a family and my doctor told me it could take a couple of months after I went off the pill because I have been on it for a couple of years, so if you have been on the pill for a long time that might lower your chances.

I actually do think you have a chance of pregnancy. You ovulate 14-15 days after your last period. The egg only survives for 24 hours though. Remember that. Plus, it has to be the right time, if the egg chooses to accept the sperm. It's scientific fact.

But keep this in mind, look at how many couple are trying to conceive in one year, and fail. Your risks are about to medium high.

Theres always the morning after pill. Or..abortion?

Wait about another week or so and get the pregnany test called First Response. It is the only test on the market that will tell you if you are pregnant BEFORE you are supposed to start your next period.
And just to let you know, I got pregnant twice without being in my designated ovulation scheduled days. sometimes it just happens if its meant to be. I think so anyway. Good luck!!!!

99% chance that you are. During your ovulation period, you have the highest chance of being pregnant. Just take home pt. or go to your dr. for a blood test, but you more than likely are. I hope you are ready for a baby, because it's a huge responsibility and change.

Take care.

It's a possiblity, but as I haven't had much experience with birth control, I have heard from some dependable and experienced resources that it often takes two or three months after not taking the pill before u get pregnant. Something about your cycle reseting it self.

Sounds like a good chance of pregnancy to me. Not to be rude, but if you don't want to get pregnant you can't be "getting carried away" like that. I got pregnant the first time I had EVER had sex. Sometimes it's easy, sometimes it's difficult.. but either way there's a pretty high chance of pregnancy if you aren't on BC. I HOPE you guys used protection. Good luck.

If you are sure you were ovulating, then you definitely have a high chance of being pregnant. Don't worry until you have missed your period though. Then, you can take a HPT to be sure. Good luck!
