I am considering the use of commission only sales agents for my web design business, www.solstice-it.com

I want to poll some opinions:

Would you buy services from a sales person representing, but not employed by a company?
Do you think there would be a negative impact on the perception of a company that uses commission only sales people?

1. NO 2. YES ..... I will not buy from a company that i know pays its employees on a commission only basis, it causes sales people to be less honest and more pushy.

If i am buying something that I want I would not be too concerned whether the person was acting on their own or someone elses behalf.
The commission only thing is a bit ropey I feel. I work (unfortunatley) in a sales job. The company I work for make far more money paying us a reasonable wage but saving the most of the profits for themselves. Plus, what about financial security? Presumably they would not pay sick pay etc if they dont even pay a basic wage.
Hope that this helps

I work off commission myself, it will work fine, but remember to be honest with the sales team about payment, these people can make you then break you!
One very important thing make sure you copyright your product so that your sales person cannot steal your idea from under your nose.
Your product must look good, smell good and taste good!! it must be priced right and a good selling % for the sales team.
Also if you product is very good beware of new sales people as these could really be your opposition.
Good luck, drop me a line if I can help.

Well how does your customer know that the salesman is on commission only? but don't start cold calling on the phone... those calls are getting irritating...
