I was flying from Denmark to the USA and they had over-booked the plane and asked for volunteers to give up their seats and take the flight the next day. No one wanted to but they were offering 600 Euro (about 750 dollars), free meals and free hotel so I decided to take the offer. After the plane left I was told that I was instead going to be booked on the plane that was leaving in two hours because they had a first-class seat available! Then, since that was a non-stop flight instead of a lay-over I would actually get to my destination 2 hours earlier! I could not believe it!

I went to McDonald's ordered a meal combo, handed the pimply-faced-sales-drone my cash and told him what the change would be before he rang it in (I paid attention in school, so I actually have some math skills). this confused him so much he gave me the price of the meal back ($7.68) and kept the change ($2.32).

i got my car painted for $19 3 yrs ago. my friend worked at the autobody shop that was under contract for the school buses and they were 1 bus short of the order so she squezzed me in i just had to pay tax. lovely huh!
