Sounds like a typical Introvert practice.
Introverts tend to be the shy types. Their thoughts flow best when they're alone. The presence of people may hinder them and distract them to the point where they can barely think. When they escape the presence of people and finally get some quiet time alone, the thoughts can really burst forth as though a dam had burst.
Extraverts are the exact opposite. They prefer to express verbally everything that comes into their head, and they need people around them so that they can interact and exchange ideas and really get the thoughts flowing. If they are stuck alone too long, it becomes hard to think as though their minds are muffled in cotton. They really need the energy of other people around them to think at their best.
There is a line that runs between introversion and extraversion, and most people are somewhere between the two extremes. Introverts can often act extraverted and vice versa. Most introverts have had the experience of getting energized and talkative in a circle of close friends at one time or another, and most extraverts have the capability of thinking deeply when alone.
Still, most people have a preference in one direction or the other, and the introverts will tend to seek out quiet time alone for their best thinking, while the extraverts will tend to seek out the presence of other people for their best thinking.

I do that all the time. Especially right before bed. I usually fall asleep thinking about one thing or another. Sometimes I'll just be thinking quietly to myself and people will ask me what's wrong. I guess in this noisy world, silence is automatically taken as a sign of trouble. Too bad. I like to think.

completely normal. try doing this after you read a newspaper, book, or have had a full day of busy study and schedule. Let your mind freeflow over everything you just experienced - and then once you have realized the things that were really interesting to you, clear your mind into a quiet place and rest for a bit.
it will really help you focus on things and also give great insight

Lots of people do this, not just teens!! It's a very healthy and fun thing to do! It lets you escape reality sometimes and sometimes it gets you more in touch with the reality of the world today. This is a very good question!

I spent almost all of my time from age 13 to now doing that. Usually I'm doing something else though too. I think about people, social issues, earlier conversations etc etc all the time while I do dishes, drive, clean...Its very normal, and probably a sign of intelligence

I used to do that in my teens. You're better off going out and doing something. Save your thoughts for old age.

Not a lot of youth seem to do that alot of days... but I do. It's interesting what comes up in your mind, askign the questions, trying to answer them yourselves, and get pulled into your thoughts.

I do it every morning i dont have to get right up. I think about anything and everything. My dream ,my day ahead of me ,or the day before. I think its better then just waking up and going straight to your day.

Everyone does I think. I know I do. I think it's very important to organize your thoughts and take time out and to think about things.
