all car seats are adaptable to a lap belt. the only requirement is that the infant seat be rear facing and you can do that with a lap belt. and with the booster seat they have a toddler seat that is just the bottom half of the seat and it is made for using a lap belt. the summit car seats are good too but really work better with a shoulder belt. good luck!

All car seats with harness systems can be installed in your vehicle with a lap only belt. Sometimes a lap belt only vs a lap and shoulder belt provide a better installation. However, if your 5 year old is under 40 pounds, he should still be in a harnessed car seat. But if he is over 40 #, he needs a booster seat and you CANNOT use a booster seat with a lap only belt. Booster seats are seatbelt positioners and a lap only belt is not safe for a child or an adult. You need to be in a lap and shoulder belt to provide maximum protection for yourself and your children. So, your options are to retrofit shoulder belts in the rear seat by your vehicle manufacturer, check with your local dealer. Or, buy a harnessed car seat that can accomodate your 5 year olds weight to a higher limit. Some go to 65-80 pounds in a full harness and can be installed with a lap only belt. This could buy you some time until you can get a new vehicle down the road or get shoulder belts installed. If these 2 are completely out of the question, the only other option is to put your oldest child in the front seat in a booster seat using the lap and shoulder belt. If their is a front passenger airbag, make sure the vehicle seat is slid all the way back out of the airbag deployment zone, make sure the seatbelt is snug and don't allow him to lean forward. Never place a rear facing infant in front of an airbag, only a forward facing child is acceptable in this position and only if it is your last option, Children 12 and under are always safest in the rear seat if possible. In this case though, you 5 year old is safer in a booster seat using a lap and shoulder belt in the front seat than in the back seat using a lap only belt and no booster.
Your 15 week old is probably in an infant seat now which is fine with a lap belt. After that, he'll need a convertible seat but he needs to stay facing the rear until he reaches 1 year old AND 20 pounds at a minimum. Hope that helps...

Most I looked at could do this, but your best bet woul be to go to Halfords, Mamas&Papas or Toys'r'us. They will tell you, and even come out to fit it in the car to make sure. You are under no obligation to buy, and can always shop around once you find one for the best price.
You can also check the britax site, I am pretty sure that you can click on a seat and it will tell you which cars are suitable - look for you Samurai. You may end up having to get a fixing kit. This will be a strap that goes from the top of the baby seat, over the top of the car seat, and then anchors down the other side, either to an existing car point, or to an attachment from the fitting kit that will ned fixing somehow.

My folks bought us a convertible seat at Toys R Us and it fits in my little Neon with the lap belt. The five year old might be ready for a booster seat, which you should probably go ask store personnel to help you sort that one out.

Also, a lot of hospitals have a car seat safety program, you might inquire and they may be able to tell you a brand or model appropriate to your vehicle, and then check it when you've installed it.

Most car seats can use either the lap belt or the shoulder belt. Personally I like the lap belt better than the ones with the shoulder strap because they don't tighten up unless you slam on the brakes.

We have the britax freestyle (think the have stopped making it but others similar) and it can be used with a lap belt.

Check their websites and if you buy from a major retailer they will fit it for you.
