How to protect yourself:
1. never go out side, there satellites are watching you. they are good enough to read the next on your newspaper.
2. never use a computer! the day you log on to the "internet" they know who you are, they read your emails, they know you history, and there is a "bug" in every computer, listening.
3. never use the phone! they record everyphone call you make and automatically re-directs your call to a goverment official when the machine hears the following words: bomb, terrorists, osama, allah, 9-11, george bush, and white house.
4. never release your real name! i suggest the alias: rusty shackleford.
5. as of this day, you have no friends. everyone is the enemy. the only person you can trust is no-one. not even yourself. spread the word !!!

Actually, I do have two simple answers for you Sparky.
1) I have never EVER assumed I have had any sort of "privacy" online. Ever. Basically if I am using any sort of two-way communication I assume it's hacked, and if it is "one-way" like radio or TV, chances are it would bore me anyway, so like, nyeah....*lol* ;)
But really, on the 'net, what I do is simple: I tell the whole truth to the best of my ability. If the *bad* stuff about me is going to be online, I make *damn* sure the good stuff is too, that people see the reasoning and the explanations along with the crap too. Does it make me more verbose than needed? Maybe. But getting the *good* evidence out there helps if you have to live on the assumption of "guilt until proven innocence" courtesy of pinheads and fascists, oh, like yourself Mr. Questioner. The truth may or may not set you free.....but it can give the lawyers a headache or three until the Maximum Dictator decides to go _Conan The Destroyer_ on you....
2) Get, use, or go by a really plain, common name, like James Bond or something. Doesn't have to be John or Jane Doe, but anything with *one syllable each* for a first and last name is pretty good....
For getting yourself some accidental decoys. I have several without even trying courtesy of my given name: a Methodist minister right here in my own state, a white-water rafter, some dude in France....lots of them. ;) Just from having and *using* the most simple and common form of my name to do my business.
What say you? :p

If you make sure to wear your little tin foil hat, you can block Big Brother from reading your thoughts.
And as my husband says so often....
The word is legs. Spread the word.
Over & out-Beam me up Scottie.

Dude...you may want to seek therapy. Are you so paranoid of being watched that you'd cut yourself off from life? Pretty sad. Perhaps you should adopt a more voyeuristic attitude towards life. Let them watch! Let them listen! I have nothing to hide and I refuse to hide!
