People are ALWAYS using the excuse that they were sick or that the devil made them do it. In either case I believe that they should bear the responsibility of their actions. Sickness nor possession are acceptable excuses for such atrocity.

No, it should not be allowed as an excuse. People call it an illness because it is something other than the norm, and they do not know how else to categorize this perversion.

You didn't say how long He served for the other offense, or if He was given early parole. You have to go by the laws already in place as to sentencing.

I have not heard of a public notice on the release of sex offenders, other than a small listing in the paper, and if you do not check it every day, you would have no way of knowing. They are however, required by law to register with the City and/or County they will be living in. You can also check www.sexoffenders.com, and enter your zip code, and that will tell you of offenders living in and around your area. But for a more up to date listing, you would have to go to the City Hall, or Sheriff's Department.

Yes, I believe the Woman who knowingly left the Child with a known Child molester, should be held accountable.

Sorry this happened to your Nephew

wow a lot of questions first question should they be allowed to use the excuse....they should be allowed to use any excuse they want but shame on us for believing it. If they are indeed sick and we have no cure then they will never NOT be dangerous so they should be locked up until death either in a hospital for the criminally insane or in a prison or even better executed....they said they were sick and can't be cured right? and yes I think the grandmother should be charged for gross negligence. the state on the other hand is only responsible for enforcing the orders of the judge.

There is simply no excuse for that behavior. Sick or not. Either way statistics prove that these people are never cured. Much like an alcoholic, they may not drink again, but they are still an alcoholic. One drink, they go back to drinking. Sex offenders are the same way, keep the temptation away keep them isolated all is okay, but the moment the chance arrives they simply cannot seem to help themselves.

Lock 'em up for life, or capital punishment is the only way to go.

It relies upon what his disease is. even if that is severe he gained't opt to bypass any germs onto the toddler yet to be ill plenty is a issue. have you ever requested him what disease he has and does his usual practitioner say he shouldn't come into contact with the youngster? that is probably that he's utilising this as an excuse it quite is extremely unhappy in case your baby grows up now to not understand her daddy and also you bypass over out on what should be some powerful help.

Think about it they have to be sick in the head to mess with a child is it right no should that be a reason for them to get away with it no. What person in their right mind would touch a child. None that I know of. I think all sex offenders should be put on a island away from the world and screw each other and leave our children alone. every one of them should pay for what they do and we need to realize that they are sick as hell.

I believe that they should be able to use any excuse they want no matter what......BUT I also believe that if the person they molested is that young it should be mandatory that a few select body parts should be removed as soon as they are found guilty.

I mean take them straight from the court room to the operating room.....NO appeals no time for anything like that.

But that's just me.

No I don't think they should. They know what they are doing is wrong and they simple don't care what they are doing to the victim(s). I also believe once a child molester/rapist, always a molester/rapist, and they should all be extinguished immediately. The grandma should be charged with negligence. And the state should be held accountable as well.

Being sick shouldn't be an excuse. If they were sick then there would be a cure. The only cure for sex offenders comes in the form of lead injections out of a gun.

Several guilty parties in this case, definitley the state for allowing the offender to walk free. I think people who abuse/molest children should be executed. Life in prison who not do justice for such a horrible monster.
