They smell nice! But I don't know, why don't you buy us diamonds off the get go instead?

Because it represents romance to a female. Throughout history, there have been stories told through song about love, romance and roses. It represents thoughtfulness to a female for a male to think enough about her to pick up the phone, or stop by a florist and order roses. It's the gesture that it represents more than the flower itself though. I think any female would tell you that. We are insecure at times and want to know that the person that cares about us, is also thinking about us when we're not there. If ever in doubt, always send flowers.

I am a girl and I love getting roses, loads of big, red, beautiful roses mixed with lots of snow white baby's breath, but (ONLY SILK)!!! Now days they make beautiful SILK roses that even smell like the real thing, and when put in an exquisite vase, they are spectacular! Also no one can even tell they are fake! They look great, smell great and will last for ever, or until the cat or dog gets a hold of them and tares them apart! Ha ha ha!!!!!!!

Because they are a token of romance..something beautiful given out of affection from the heart. Red = Love and those are the most widely color of roses given to women.
I personally would rather have a nice potted flower or plant because i can keep it longer and take care of it and watch it grow.
However, I do understand why women love roses though.
Its a very flattering and sweet gesture from the opposite sex.
Not to mention can be a costly one too.

Speaking as a girl, I don't like roses. I see them as a huge waste of money. And, sadly, I think that's why most girls like them. If you have $50 to throw away on something that won't even last a week, that means you have money to waste on her all of the time.
They are pretty, and they smell nice, but I'd much rather have something useful. I also don't think they're very creative. Flowers are flowers - boring. If you buy a girl something that she likes (a DVD of her favorite movie, a CD from her favorite band, something that she collects, jewelry specific to her tastes) that shows that you know personal things about her.

Roses smell great, are soft to the skin, and look beautiful.
Next time try a Rose Bush start...they are cheap and they last many years.

Because we think roses are so beautiful and romantic. And we love romance. the smell of a rose given to us by our men is enticing.

Or, you can buy flowers, which are a nice, romantic gesture and relatively inexpensive.
