Your Mrs. Va-J-J will hemorrhage for a few days every month.
Also, once this happens, you'll have the capabilities to become "knocked up".

Every month or so (average of 28 days) a woman's body realizes that she won't be pregnant that month. There are hormones which get released which tell the body.
For the two weeks until that the womb had been padding up to make a soft place for the fetus (developing baby) to grow.
The preparation that had been made in the womb (uterus) for the baby to be protected in has to leave the body. This tissue (cells) and blood leave through the vagina. This bleeding is called menstruation or a period.
It might hurt a bit (this varies with different people). It is startling the first time when it is unexpected, but it becomes regular (you can keep track on a calendar).
Often, the week before the period comes, a woman is more cranky and irritable due to the changes in the hormones. This is also normal..
Good luck and I hope this helped.

A woman has tons of egg cells (ovum) in her ovaries. But if the egg cells are not fertilized by a male sperm through sexual intercourse, the egg is released. At this time, a woman gets her period. A "period" is slang for a womens menstrual cycle. For 3-7 days, a woman bleeds from her vagina, as the uterus is releasing the built up tissues that, if the egg was fertilized, would have aided in the attachment of the embryo to the uterus wall. HOwever, when the egg is not fertilized, the tissues and blood are released. This is a normal process, and while some women experience slight stomach or back cramps, headaches or moodswings, there is no pain involved in the passing of the blood from the vagina. Tampons or Pads are used to absorb the bloodflow.

Did you read the book already? I don't want to spoil the ending of it for you but:
Women menstruate (get periods) once a month, every month. They start getting their period once they reach puberty and their bodies start developing. This may be anywhere between the age of 9 to 16. Menstruation is caused by the eggs, a woman produces, on a monthly basis. Every month the egg produced, if not inseminated with sperm, gets rejected by the body and floats out thought your vaginal canal (from where you pee). During this process, along with the egg, there is blood discharges as well. So once a month for about 3-5 days you will be bleeding, which is very normal. This will continue up until you are about 45-50 years old.

A woman's period is the uterus shedding the build up of lining for the month and expelling the unfertilized eggs. Every month a woman has a cylce where eggs drop from the fallopean tubes to the uterus. If the eggs aren't fertilized by the end of the cylce, the body sheds everything in the form you see it as blood and tissue.

period is when there is blood coming out of the vaginal and it usually comes once a month. and lasts about a week long. you can use tampons or pads to catch this blood so it doesn't make a mess. don't worry if you don't understand because if you are a girl, you will get it eventually. =]

It is when you start draining blood from you lower regions. It is a sign that your body (but probably not your mind) is ready for sex. One of your eggs prepares to be either fertilized (by a man) or drains into blood.
