GreendayCrazy -
I will give you some very wise wisdom if you return the favor and give me some help as well. My question is at the end of this answer - please help me. OK. In regards to graduating 8th Grade. The one thing i recall most is the fear of meeting new people and the fear of losing old friends, much like yourself. Here me out Greenday. First thing to realize is your not alone, almost every one else in your class is feeling the same right about now. It is important you realize - these transitional periods (graduation, leaving for college, work-study, career moves, military, marriage, etc...) are a big part of life and should not be feared when they arise- cultivating new friendships and covering new ground is one of the very main purposes why we exist on this planet. However, in order to move forward in our journey we must temporarily and sometimes permanently leave others behind, but not without the great memories and lessons we shared. This is neccessary in order for us to meet new people, make new friendships and go to new places. This truth is the very reason why we should value every minute of our time, especially the last moments with our passing friends and the very first moments with our new companions in these transitional periods, because you never know when you will have to get up and go. So embrace your future and cherish your memories and be happy always:)

Have fun with your friends, cherish them, and make use of all the time that's given to you. That's all anyone can really do before the time comes to part ways. When that time comes, don't be sad, true friends keep in contact and stay friends even after they are gone.
As for being hard on me... well I believe graduating past elementary school was the hardest on me. Not a day goes by where I wish I could relive some of those days sitting on the baseball dugout with my friends and enjoying the freedom and innocence that was everything to us.

I think I was happy, or is it because I love my high school experience so much. It's a big step to take and you will be nervous. It didn't feel different for me at all. I'd miss my friends, but hey, summer vacation. The saddest I've ever been was leaving 10th grade. I had a lot more fun in 10th grade. In 8th grade I had just moved and didn't know too much about all my friends, until I got to High School. I just couldn't wait to get out.

Well, that was many many years ago for me...but I remember I was really nervous because high school (9th grade) was going to be the next step. Just be sure to keep contact with your friends and peers and maybe visit your high school and talk to the teachers before school starts.
When you familarize yourself with a new place such as high school, you'll be okay. Good luck.

You think its a big deal at the time, but it is the most care free point of your life... ever.
HS is a worry, but looking back, just a bunch of tests you have to do well on.. college is where you discover yourself. That's where i am.
hope this helps

You can't "graduate" 8th grade.
You graduate from high school.
You graduate from college.
You just pass 8th grade and move to 9th or you flunk. It is not signifigant. There is no "graduation."
