While I don't listen to mainstream country music, there are exceptions such as Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Kenny Rogers and the Judds (together and with Wynonna alone).

Out of curiosity, how is that a political question?

Some...I like Nickel Creek, Allison Krause, Emmylou Harris, Dwight Yoakim, Dixie Chicks (although they're not terribly country anymore...I like their more Bluegrass stuff).

I don't like that poppy-faux country crap, like Shania Twain. Blech. Makes my skin crawl.

Now are you trying to pair up musical tastes with political affiliation? Is that the purpose?

You'll probably find only a small correlation and I doubt seriously that you will find a causal relationship. Although that would be funny (classical makes you liberal, country makes you conservative...Hip Hop just makes you angry unless it's Will Smith)...

I can't stand the glossy country they play on the radio. I really like the music of Johnny, Willie, Waylon, Merle, Buck, Ernest and all the others back when country actually had a soul.

I grew up listening to country music. I'm not crazy about some of the country songs of today though. But for the most part I like country music.

I used to hate it. But a really close friend of mine got me to start listening to it, and I really enjoy it. I don't like the songs that are all about drinking and stuff. It really depends on the topic they are singing and the rhythm and beat. I am sure a lot of controversy is going on with those Dixie Chicks..lol

It's not a politcal question if you're looking for a correlation between country music and something politcal unless you tell people what country music is suppose to correlate with. Besides, correlation doesn't prove causation, moron.
