Every product can be dangerous but if you follow the instructions you will be fine. I prefer tampons and I would never go back to pads. The thing that happened with your sister is one in a million. And sorry for saying that but its her own fault. You should not wear the same tampon for more then 3-4 hours. And that is why they put warnings against doing that on at least 10 different places on the box of the tampons.

Its rather your determination. some females discover tampons painful and uncomfortable, whilst others can not stand wearing pads. i come across pads are superb for snoozing, considering you are able to in user-friendly terms circulate away tampons in for 8 hours, and generally times I sleep longer than that (exceptionally considering i've got not got college actual now). yet in the time of the day i like to placed on tampons because of the fact if i circulate to a chum's residing house i don't ought to difficulty approximately carrying around 7 or 8 pads, i will deliver 2-3 tampons. this is all approximately what kind of existence kind you reside and what's maximum delicate for you.

TSS is possible for anyone to get. But it is very rare, and as long as you dont leave tampons in too long, it is unlikely you will get it. Tampons are better for lots of reasons. For comfort, for active people, for swimming, ect. I no longer have periods due to a hysterectomy, but up until 6 months ago, I used tampons. I didnt have a choice. I couldnt use pads, no matter what brand. They broke me out. I got severe rashes from them, so bad the skin would get raw and break open and bleed. So in my case, tampons were better.
If you are scared to use them, then use the pads. But using tampons should be ok for you. It is not impossible for you to get TSS, but is unlikely as long as you use them responsively.

Pads! I used tampons...............but...........they can create a toxin in you that is deadly. A man I work with almost lost his daughter a year ago from this. And she is a nurse!! So she knows what to do. She is a very clean person, self, home, kids, etc. An excellent nurse. Used tampons and changed often as she is a clean person. She still got this toxin. It can happen to anyone. She almost died, and had a 7 + month recovery. Be careful. That is why I now say pads!!

I prefere you to wear pads because it safe because whenever you're flowing heavy always every 2 or 3hrs a day or week just change yourself and clean yourself before putting on a new pad. Another thing just be careful with tampon I heard this from my aunt and my mom too.

As long as you change your tampon every 3-4 hours and have the right absorbency that won't happen.

It can happen, but if you change it often enough, this shouldn't happen for no reason. You'll be fine with tampons, just change them often even if it's not 100% needed at the time.

Whatever your more confortable with. It may be best for you to alternate. My friend had to quit ballet because she wouldn't use a tampon during ehr period/
