Cena lost it at ECW's One Night Stand PPV to Rob Van Dam. DX Reformed and had midget versions of the Spirit Squad flash the real Spirit Squad along with other pranks through the weeks. This past week Edge won the title in a triple threat match against Cena and Van Dam. Not much has happened really.

The first tome John Cena lost his title was at New Years Revolution The title was on the line in an elimination chamber match he won the match and retained the title against:-
Kane
Chris Masters
Carlito
Kurt Angle
And the heart Break Kid Shawn Michael's
Then that bastard edge cashed in an opportunity with the money in the bank thing and he won hitting JC with 2 Spears it was devastating before edge cashed in john cena was almost life less in the ring he was bleeding everywhere so edge won the title
Then came Royal Rumble 2006 JC had a match with edge for the title and won the the match to get back what was his then at ECW 2nd one Night stand He lost it in a match against ECWs own RVD then jc was given another chance to get the title back in a triple threat match but was unsuccessful due to edge hitting him with the belt and edge is the champ now and i hope John cena get s his title back

Piggybacking on the previous answer..Cena lost the title to Edge in January, and then got it back. Within the last month, he lost the title to RVD at the ECW pay-per-view.
