My parents always say they trust me and stuff like that. However recently, I lied to my parents to help a friend in need and my mom and dad found out that i "betrayed" them. My mom right off the bat goes I don't trust you anymore. My main question is it possible to lose trust that fast?

The reason i lied to my parents about my friend is because it is my exboyfriend who my father hates and forbids me to see. He got in a car accident and his friend that was driving got arrested. He called me and i came to his side. I was up unto the moment he called me obeying my parents.

for some people, trust can be lost easily and for others, who give chances, maybe too many chances, will trust you until you stab them in the back(literally)...anyway it depends on who you're talking about...but the reason your parents always said that they trusted you is probably so you would think twice about lying and losing their trust. so...yes, to your question

YES!
But, given time, can be earned back. But because you broke it, don't expect it to be gained back overnight. Both you and your parents need to work at it.
You - don't give them anymore reason to trust you even less than they do now.
Them - well, parents are parents. They will get over it, and will start trusting you again. Just as long as...see "You" above.
Good luck.

Of course trust can be taken away that easily! Trust is the one emotional feeling that can go in a heartbeat! It's going to take a long time til your parents can trust you again. dont screw up!

particular places in my position of beginning that were opened for years I believe and performance were given reliable on line comments. although my bf had an awful journey with an section takeaway and ended up hospitalised with nutrition poisoning, we ended up calling up the community wellbeing authority on them and they have because that been closed down! Thank goodness. yet as I reported i'd frequently in ordinary words eat from properly depended on places that relatives and acquaintances were to and had reliable thoughts at!

Trust is something that takes time to earn and build, but it takes only a split second to loose it................. use that incident to regain the trust........... if your lucky, your mom will understand why you had to lie to them....... if it's not worth telling them, then start from scratch........ trust may take time to build and sometimes even more to rebuild it, but its wirth getting it back........... you can loose trust that easily, but just look to rebuild it as soon as possible because its always something werth cherishing.
