Suspense:Memento
Comedy Concert Film:Richard Pryor Live in Concert
and these last two are in a class all by their selves and you
can't go wrong with either: Carlito's Way and A Bronx Tale.

Depends on what kind of movie you like. I've always liked "The Shawshank Redemption" starring Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman. You can also go to blockbuster.com or netflix.com and see what the most popular rentals are. Those would be good indications of what people find appealing.
