Its a conspiracy, its not really a button but a nano-techno GPS tracking bug that reports your whereabouts to the CIA, NRO, MI6 and if they feel upto it, MOSSAD.
The KGB where offered the chance but they couldnt afford the per-processor licence fees, Microsoft dont accept vodka and cabbage as a form of currency.

because it is never fastened, the thread never comes under any strain. Equally the button at the neck or cuff will be the first one to fall off

because they sew it on extra well, so you don't lose it...i mean what would you do if you couldn't find your spare button....lol

good question ! i think the sewers sow it on tight just so its annoying , itchy and scratchy .and to keep it safe for those times we need it .
