I just bought a Max Factor mascara from wal mart like 3 weeks ago!!! It worked pretty good its called Lash Perfection- Im sure you can find it just go look at a walmart, target, or kmart. If they don't it, I love Lancome Hypnose mascara. It works! here's the site for it:

You could also try MAC mascara X.

or bad gal lash made by Benefit!

Hope I helped, good luck! :-)

Haha, before I saw the rest of your question I was seriously going to exclaim MAX FACTOR! Honestly, I've tried soo many different mascaras, esp Maybelline and CoverGirl, and none have worked as well for me as Max Factor's 2000 Calorie Mascara. When you wear mascara as often as I do, you tend to lose a lot of lashes, and all the other mascaras I've used only take these lashes and make them longer, but not thicker, which is what I want. To me, lashes with a good amount of volume are much, much more attractive than a few looong spider lashes. I suppose that's why it's called "2000 Calorie" -- it really does fatten your lashes. I'm really sorry you can't find Max Factor any more where you live, but I'd totally recommend searching as hard as you can for it cuz it doesn't get any better than 2000 Calorie. If you have no other choice but to choose another brand, I'd say Maybelline's Volum Express would be your next best bet, from my extensive mascara experience anyway, haha.
Still, Max Factor rules above all when it comes to mascara, both in terms of quality and affordability.
Good luck!

I am in love with Cover girl "lash exact" mascara! I work at a Macys department store and have used every expensive mascara under the sun. I have come to learn that you don't always get what you pay for (of course you can always return at stores like macys which is nice), but in my experience with mascara, expensive mascara is still "just mascara". I love the covergirl lash exact . the brush is made of a purple rubbery/ plastic material that separates lashes like no other. no more clumps! it also comes with a separate lid to mascara so that you do not have to store mascara wand inside. which I think is nice because I don't like too much mascara on the wand when I use it. and yes I clean the wand before I use it silly!

my fave is maybelline lash exact but before applying any mascara run the brush along the top of the tube and then wipe sum on a kleenex or sumthing and THEN apply it on your lashes!

Fresh Supernova -- $25 well spent! It comes with an amazingly soft brush that curls your lashes and doesn't goop. Love it!

Clinique's the best, thick liquid and makes your lashes look long and thick. It also depends on how you use it.
