Have you ever read the studies on guys that gay bash? They more than likely are gay themselves. You can try to bash it out of us here, but you can't bash it inside yourself.

Most all of us know this, you are making yourself look trite

Its unfortunate that you have to hear something that you hate -- that doesn't make it less true however. Not that I think an imbalance has anything to do with it particularly, since it is a normal condition.

The evidence becomes more overwhelming every year that homosexuality is inborn.

Two things in particular I'm going to point to. A number of major studies have been done of animals. All the species studied had homosexual behavior -- and all the species that had pair bonds at all had homosexual pair bonding TO THE EXCLUSION OF MATING WITH THE OPPOSITE SEX IN HEAT. Explain how that is even possible as a choice for animals? (the best book in this particular field is probably Dr. Bruce Bagemihl's book "Biological Exuberance" from St. Martin's Press -- from its bibliography you can find many others, and you can easily find other studies that look at the same phenomena.)

2nd -- the Fruit-fly study. The results for fruit-flies can't be denied (link below). People are trying to say that just because it applies to fruit-flies it doesn't have to to people. Alright, while I accept that the genetic mechanism is much more complex among humans -- why on earth would something like homosexuality be completely genetic in simple species and not genetic at all in the most complex species? It makes no sense, particularly given that no gay person I know EVER remembers being attracted to a female. Bisexuals are attracted to both. Gays are only attracted to same sex. So -- how is that a choice? Isn't it just the opposite of what straight people feel? An inborn automatic response. Period.

Standing against science, common sense, and logic -- you have a bronze age book that people keep telling each other is divine, but which says the earth has corners (Isaiah 11:12), sits on pillars (I Samuel 2:8), and is on top of the water (Psalms 24:1-2). The book says beetles have 4 legs not 6 (Leviticus 11: 21-23) and states that rabbits chew cuds (which they do NOT) (Deuteronomy 14:7). Given that choice, despite the emotional benefits that I'm sure some people gain from believing that the bronze age book is correct on this, just like it is on the corners -- I'll go with the logic, science and common sense.

There were people who didn't believe the world was round either, in fact, the Flat Earth Society was continuing to defend the "Biblical Truth of the Flat Earth" well into the 1980s. The earth was and is round, regardless. And homosexuality? Inborn. Sorry you don't like hearing it.

It sounds like you are a straight person - so really there is no way you can understand.

But lets try - you were born straight right? I mean you naturally liked the opposite sex, right? Did you need any special training to like the opposite sex? Did you have to attend a class or a seminar or was it just natural?

Okay now here is the trickey part - you have to really open your mind here.....

Every gay person I know feels they were simply born gay. Many will tell you stories about a very early realization that they were 'different'.

So you have to ask yourself - would all these people be saying the same thing if it were not true?

And who would naturally choose to live a MUCH HARDER life if they had the choice? Who would choose to be hated by a percentage of the population? Who would choose a life where people actually KILL you because of who you love? Who would choose a life that leads some to depression and suicide?

I have no idea who you are - or who you love but I hope you never have to defend your life each and every day, to friends, to family, to strangers...I hope that you are not told every day what a terrible creature you are and what an abomination to God you are....

I hope the Bible is not shoved down your throat to the point that you no longer even feel you can breathe.

I also hope that someday you will open your heart just a crack, just a tiny crack and see that the world is a very big place made up of many wonderful different people and creatures.

Actually, being "born that way" isn't a result of a hormonal imbalance. It's the same thing as being born to love someone of the opposite sex. It's a natural part of who we are. I'm so terribly sorry that you were forgotten when the brains were handed out....maybe science will be able to cure your lack of intelligence someday...considering that that seems to be your "hormonal imbalance."

Were you born straight? Or were you born gay, yet chose to be straight?

People who aren't gay don't have the right to tell any gay person why they are gay - because they don't understand it.

They somehow believe that they chose to be straight.

It's hard for a lot of straight people to understand because they have never felt that way.

Think about this though: If being gay was right, and being straight was wrong - and society condemned you because you were straight - what would you do?

Would you force yourself to conform - despite how difficult and unnatural it felt to you? Or would you live the way that you felt was right, despite what others told you?

Think about it.

You also need to realize gay people have a very hard life - they can lose their job because of their orientation, they can lose their entire family, be kicked out of their home, lose all of their friends, they aren't allowed to marry the person they love, etc etc.

I honestly don't think someone would choose a life that hard, do you?

I've seen people come out of the closet and lose everything - a loving family simply turned their back and refused to speak to them, they lost their job, all of their friends - they were completely alone - they had nothing.

What about the people who struggle for years to come out of the closet? They are afraid to come out - literally afraid - so why would they choose to be afraid?

If you've ever seen the aftershock of someone attempting to live the straight life and getting married - you may have a different perspective on things.

Marriages crash and burn, children grow up in a broken home, the wife/husband who never knew is left heartbroken and alone.

You should never pass judgement on things you do not understand.

Hopefully this will help you with your anger problem - you should try being more compassionate and open minded . . .

IF YOU THINK SOME KIND OF HORMONAL IMBALANCE IS THE REASON YOU ARE IGNORANT, YOU ARE WRONG. it is a choice you make

I hate hearing from people that "I was born that way"

Nope, you're wrong.

not all LGBT choose to be that way, especially knowing the ignorance that go around in the world that won't leave 'em alone about it.

OHH, and about the thing written in the Bible, about that there shouldnt be gays... remember it was written by man, not God. Probably one of the writers got pissed, scared or whatever when they found their kid(s) or someone else were gay and added the anti-gay rule in the Bible, since they knew that people will follow the what the Bible teaches only, that was back then when MANY were illiterate and narrow-minded. Do the math.

remember that Jesus did mention about people who judge others, and that everyone God made through his heart and eyes are welcome in his kingdom....

If you dont like the fact that they say they're born that way, you can always close your ears my friend.

Actually you are both right and wrong. That must be a first for you to almost be right. There is not a hormonal imbalance that makes me Bisexual but God made me this way. My hormones are completely normal In fact my doctor told me my testosterone levels where unusually high for someone who still has a full head of hair. My hormonal levels have nothing to do with my sexuality except to make me extremely horny all the time.
But God made me this way and Jesus even talked about homosexuals specifically. Of course the word homosexual did not exist until 1869 in the time of Jesus they where referred to as eunuchs from the womb. Meaning they where born that way.
And the Pharisees of that time wanted to keep them out of the temple but Jesus said that they where welcome in the house of God.

Another thing Jesus specifically talked about is people who judge others. Peace out.

i don't think you know what you are talking about. We are born into this world and it is god who decides what we are. So if it's a chemical imbalance then so be it. All I know is that I didn't choose my lifestyle it chose me. Don't get me wrong I love the person that I am and I wouldn't take a pill tomorrow if it could change me straight. All I am saying is that I don't know of anyone out there who would choose to be hated and tormented for who they love. Food for thought huh?

People who say "being gay is a choice" only do this to justify homophobia. Also, they are not capable of seeing beyond their own tastes/preferences and understanding that there is a variety in all humans. Just because I don't like vinegar doesn't mean that vinegar is wrong for everyone.

The only choice gay/bi people have is whether to act out on their feelings or not - this is known as sexual behaviour, which differs from sexual orientation.

So then that would mean that people choose to be straight? Wow, science will be so thrilled to learn that you have figured it out. Then that means that people want to be hated by idiots like you? So what if I am born this way? Is it hurting you? I cannot imagine women being attracted to someone as ugly inside as you must be. Oh, but then maybe you were born that way.
