Most low-skilled jobs have to be here in the States because they're service-oriented jobs like in restaurants and Wal-Marts, not to mention all the agricultural jobs that Mexicans do for next to nothing in this country. Believe me, Mexicans and other immigrants aren't taking jobs away from reasonably literate Americans! Anyone who wants them all deported better get ready to pay $20 for a head of lettuce and $10 for your next Big Mac (not to mention over $1 million for any new and very small new houses!)

Twenty years ago, it might have been efficient to move jobs to Mexico. Companies do so because the labor cost is low enough to offset the cost of building a new plant and shipping their goods. Today, Mexico is out of favor for outsourcing because there are other countries that have a much lower wage rate than Mexico (think El Salvador, and Bangladesh) It is just as easy to build in those countries as in Mexico for jobs such as garment making.

NO MORE OUTSOURCING AMERICAN JOBS!!! Even if it is these "low paying jobs". In S Cal. a housekeeper gets paid $15. per hr. Let them work here and pay taxes foe American jobs. High paying technology jobs have been out-sourced to India, as have the customer service and reservations desks of many major American companies, costing many jobs. Fiight attenant jobs are being threatend RIGHT NOW to be outsourced to Chinese...can you imagine? Let's start thinking people.

We don't need to move them there. If we wait long enough, all the Mexicans that want to work will have all crossed the border illegally and be over here!

Well, yes! Because Americans refuse to do all the dirty job, that's why they have to give it to those people & nations that aren't afraid of working hard.

I say Americans are selling their souls to China.
