My daughter is 15, and she says that I always yell at her. But when things are calm and we talk, we discover that sometimes what she mistakes for me yelling or critisizing is actually me trying to teach her something and she just took it wrong. Maybe you should try to sit down and talk with your mom during a time when she is doing nothing. Just tell her you would really like to have a heart to heart talk. Try not to get upset and storm off, try to stay calm and explain how you feel. Tell your mother you hate fighting with her because you love her and that you would like to try to make your relationship better. Being a mother is a hard job, and sometimes not a very rewarding one. Mothers do a lot of things and don't always feel appreciated for them. And we want our children to be safe and happy. Maybe if you and your mom can see where the other is coming from, you can come to a compromiseable solution that will decrease the fighting.

I'm in the same boat! It'll be alright. She needs to be on anti-depressants. My mom is and now we talk a lot more. We don't throw punches any more or yell as much! Unless it comes to guys! Hang in there it'll be fine!!

I had that problem too.
That wasn't fun.
Well talk to her rationally if you can.
Talk to her in a calm voice that you don't like being treated that way.
If you are a teenager.
Good luck
that won't fly.

well, if she yells then don't yell at her. just be the calm one and things will turn out ur way. don't start freakin' out when your mom does. it'll show her who the mature one is.

i guess there's a reason for her to be yelling. maybe you just think that she always picking on you. but the truth is... your her favorite one that's why she always see you.
