OK I was on the pill for almost 9 months and I stopped taking the pills in the middle of the package. The last time that I had sex was May 14 and the last pill I took was on the May 18. I got my period just like a normal period on May 22 and lasted 6 days. Now I didn't get my period for the whole month of June. I have not had sex since May 14. I am wondering if it is because my body was used to the pills and has to get used to not having them in my system anymore. What do you think. Thanks.

I am a parent already and I am married. I also took a pregnancy test and it came out negative.

It could be that your body is just trying to regulate after stopping the use of birth control. It says in the box insert of birth control pills that amenorrhea (absence of a menstrual period) can happen after stopping the use of birth control. Most of the time the body will correct your cycle by itself, and you may get your period on your next cycle. It is normal.
However, if your period does not return after a few consecutive cycles, and you are not pregnant, see your doctor to check for any possible complications or problems - it could be a hormonal imbalance or something else.
Goodluck!

A woman can only conceive mid point of a normal menstrual cycle. If you only had sex prior to the bleeding I would say it's highly unlikely you could be pregnant. Your body will need a couple to several months to adjust from the lack of hormones you are not getting from discontinuing the use of the pill. If it makes you feel better, get a highly recommended pregnancy test such as EPT or First Response. You may also wish to speak to your OB/GYN about other options for you. Good luck!

You're not pregnant, if you haven't had sex since may 14 and stopped taking the pill may 18... If! You're body is now getting used to not having the pill.

I started taking the depo shot after my daughter was born. I took it for a year and a half. I took my body a year to wipe out the depo in my system and get my period. But it aslo depends if you are over weight or fit. It will stick in your system longer if you are over weight. Before I got pregnant with my daughter I was on the pill. I was on it for 2 yrs, at the end of my 2 yrs I wasn't taking it correctly and thats how I got pregnant. So It all depends on the person and their body.

Of course you could be pregnant. But having an irregular cycle after stopping the pill, especially in mid-cycle is not unusual either. If it were me, I wouldn't worry too much. You're probably not pregnant. But if your period doesn't start soon, I'd take a pregnancy test just to be sure.

It could be your body adjusting to being off the pill but you may want to take a test and be sure.

I think that it's prolly because you went off the pill. When your take the pill it helps to regulate your periods. Please tell me that you used another method of birth control in addition to the pill, like a condom. The pill doesn't protect against std's.

I'd say you probably are not pregnant, it is simply your body adjusting to the fact that you stopped taking the pills.
But to be certain, take a pregnancy test, or see a doctor.
Use condoms.
