Maybe yes, maybe no, but it was a terrible idea to give him the title at this point, in front of a Philadelphia crowd.

i don't think so , big show is a big name that everybody knows , they are trying to spread the word fast about ecw and this will help . If they would have gave it to dreamer a lot of people would have been turned off by the fossil getting the title

They should have gave it to someone else. And yes I agree Tommy Dreamer is going to want a match for the title. But Sandman or somebody else should have got it

It depends on what direction ECW plans to go with for the next few weeks. With RVD and Sabu busted for drugs (Sabu is fined, not suspended since his violation wasn't nearly as serious as RVD) and Angle out for a while as well, they had to make these changes mere hours before showtime. So as far as giving the title to Big Show this week being a bed decision, it's too early to tell.

It is, but there is no other "top" guy in ECW to give the belt to. RVD is suspended for 30-days and Angle is taking some time off.

With RVD, Sabu and Kurt Angle gone Big Show is about the only big name left to put it on.

i believe dreamer will be the first defense but they had to give it to someone quick b/c of the RVD drug situation.
