i dont need online play. im not sure of the variety of games.

I love my PS2...but I'd either hold out for a PS3 if you really want a Sony system...or go get an X-Box. X-Box has better graphics, and you don't have to fool with memory cards, wich...believe me...its a major plus.

It is a good system to get; it has the most games but you might want to wait for the PS3 unless you want to go for an inexpensive system.
