A lot depends on what you want to know. Chances are, the more you watched, the more would go over your head, but if there was something on of significant interest (eg, you had a health problem and there was a specific programme about it) you would deffo learn more.
If you turned off tv, you would probably learn more, as you would have to go out and find answers to life's daily struggle, rather than have it on a plate, and let it go over your head.

Well it really depends on what you watch, if you watch big brother all day then u'll learn nuthink apart from how stupid people are, if u watch documentires and the news (only channel 4) then you'll start learning about stuff around the world.

If you watched informative, factual and educational programmes then you would learn more 'stuff' about : science, maths, literature, zoology etc.

If you watched: Big brother, Love Island and The Paul O'Grady show then i think you would end up knowing less 'stuff' due to the loss of brain cells.

Re-phrase that to, "If I watched more documentaries, would I know more stuff?" and I would nod emphatically. You can get a free education (bar TV licence and cable/digital fees) by watching UKTVDocumentaries, UKTV History, Nat Geo, Discovery, Biography and the History Channel... who needs Uni?!

No, read more books, if you want to learn 'stuff' TV is definitely not the answer for a lack of intellect, infact it promotes idiocy.

Of course! But you'd know far more if you read books, newspapers, magazines - anything you enjoy - because - the more words that you read - the more information you retain - the more you know - the more you want to know! Just imagine!

I doubt it. If you want to learn, do so by experience, not through some made-up BS that is another's idea of life.
