I've been to Savannah many times and it's a great place. The Riverfront is the most fun place to hang out at -- lots of great shops, pubs and restaurants. You've got to eat at Mrs. Wilke's Boarding House and The Lady and Sons. Take some historical tours downtown, go to Ft. Pulaski for a tour, and the beach at Tybee Island (while you're there, stop by Seaweed's for a snow cone...they're the best). There are so many fun things to do in Savannah!

I'm originally from New York, I moved to Savannah about 3 years ago. Let's just say I couldn't wait to leave the place. It was VERY VERY boring. A great place to visit to soak up the history and beauty but man did it suck living there. I'm used to snow and cold weather. Well it was like 105 degrees over there. So hot you couldn't breath. If you love the heat, it's great.
I loved it for the first year then I couldn't wait to leave. I'm so happy I left. But like I said before, it's a great place to visit.

My wife and I were there on a weekend in January. It is a nice old southern city. Not the most exciting though. We were there for an annual 2 day college hockey tournament and it is always picked as the best sporting event in the city.Tybee island is very nice and not difficult to get to.Good seafood restaurants.Take a guided tour when you arrive.

Yes, its lovely. I suggest you read the book "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" before you go, the entire town revolves around that.

I've been to Savannah and like TN, KY and similarly situated regions, it's just best to stay away. Can you say inbred.

I have not but I know someone close to me who went on her honeymoon there. She loved it! She said food was great and it was very nice! Quiet hot but I am sure you know that!

It's very beautiful, but not too many things to do there. My aunt moved there, I don't know why. But now I constantly have to go there to visit.
