It depends on your program. If your goal is for professional school, then it is very hard. If your goal is for a master's degree in academia, it is less competitive than applying to Stern Business School, or NYU Law School. I would imagine that UCLA is probably less competitive than NYU for professional, but I think UCLA would be fairly competitive especially for medical school.
But, of course your GREs have to be good and you must get good letters of recommendation.

Very hard, but probably equally worthwhile. Study hard, and try to pull up that GPA.

There are lots of good business schools on the east coast, including many that are virtually unknown. Of course, places like Harvard and Penn (Wharton) are the best, but even harder than NYU to get into. Babson is one of the most underrated. Boston College and Boston University are both quite well respected. Grove City College is virtually unknown, yet offers outstanding Economics and Business programs. And, I would be remiss if I didn't mention Washington College, which is building outstanding business offerings, albeit from a liberal arts perspective.

Yes, its fairly hard to get in to. You should be able to look up at their website or through one of those books about colleges what their requirements are:

My sister didn't have the qualifications necessary, but she had started her own business in the field that she was applying for, and they found that impressive so they accepted her. She went to the Gallatin School of Individualized study for Entertainment and Pre-Law. She's now going to Law School and working for an Entertainment lawyer.

So far it sounds like you're off to a good start. Keep up the good grades and start studying for the SATs, seriously, it helps. All it takes is a few hours here and there - just buy an SAT study book (I'm sure your parents would love to get you one!) and work on it from time to time.

Yes it is hard and it is expensive. Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen attend NYU.

You may want to try other schools such as Buffalo State, Rhode Island University, or Boston College. These are hard to get into as well, but I think you'd have a better chance.

It is harder to get into now than it was 10 years ago, and will probably continue to get harder. You're going to need top SAT scores, good recommendations, and very good grades. NYU is easily a top tier school now.

You can look on collegeboard.com and search any school you are interested in. It gives lots of information.
