The absolute best way, is just to be yourself. Take it or leave it, if he is not responding to the real you, then that is not someone who you want to spend significant time with. Make no mistake, ultimately if he doesn't like you, he will walk away at somepoint, and after he has taken some very important things from you (like your emotions).
