So, I just got an iPod nano, and I had earlier heard something about an adaptor or something that you could hook up to your iPod, and then to your power outlet in your car, so that the music goes through your speakers. I have a Dodge Durango, a 2000 model (which we will be getting a Honda Hybrid soon). I don't know if that matters, but I wanted to make sure I have all the information you might need. Thanks so much!!

There are a number of devices. The simplest work by sending a radio signal from your ipod to your car's radio (a choice of 3 or 4 frequencies.)

Hooking the ipod to the power outlet doesn't have much to do with having the ipod play through your speakers, but it does power your ipod so that you won't have to run down the ipod battery and recharge.

Just buy a bog standard cd to tape adaptor, and buy a cigarette lighter power adaptor (you can buy these from ebay for a few quid/dollars)
Thats what set up I use and it's quite excellent for sound quality. Keep clear of itrips fm transmitters ect, as I bought one of them and they are rubbish.

Once you get a car adapter you can listen to your Ipod through your car radio. Usually on channel 88.5fm. The type of car doesn't matter.
