In the world of anime things are confusing such as if a character is a guy or a girl. I know you've thought of this at one time. At first I though Bakura from Yu-Gi-Oh was a girl. Also Kazuki from GetBackers. And that one guy from Fushigi Yuugi with the purple hair. It turns out that they were all guys. Very girly looking. But Kurama didn't fool me.

There have been a few where I've asked my friends opinions if they were guys or girls. But the most recent ones I remember are Kino of Kino's Journey, and Ed of FullMetal Alchemist . . . Before I started actually watching FMA, I saw a pic of Ed and thought "What a grouchy girl, I don't think I want to watch an anime with such a grouchy girl." Of course, as a boy, it just makes him hansome and angsty. ^_^

I always thought Envy from Fullmetal Alchemist was a girl, what with the midriff-baring clothing and long hair. The voice was negotiable either way (at least in the English dub), but as it turns out, he's a guy. I suppose the lack of ginormous boobies should've tipped me off *rolls eyes*.

Kino from Kino's Journey.
Yeah, the voice was pretty girly, but it's a young character and I figured they just couldn't find a male voice actor to do the job.
I mean, Kino's a boy name, she rides on a motorcycle traveling around, looks quite boyish, uses guns, skins her own rabbits...
But it made sense as to why she did all that in episode four so I wasn't completely oblivious for very long.

Akito from Fruits Basket. I really thought she was a guy. Even thought Johnny Depp would make a good choice for a live-action version.

A character or two in Fruits Basket- Akito, Ritsu
Several others
It gets confusing because dubs in the US sometimes change the characters gender if they are girly or gay
