Yes, of course! More people watch and care about the world cup than any other tournament in the world. I would not be suprised if the world cup was more watched than the world series, the superbowl, and the NBA finals combined. Football (soccer) is the world sport and the world watches it.

My boyfriend cares about it so much he's staying home from the camping trip we've been planning for a month to watch the finals!

Yes, i started watching after Beckham resigned and now i love soccer! Also, the U.S Does watch it because i have a bunch of friends and relatives that live in the u.s who watch it so thats not true!
