My experience of 25 years told me 1 ) drink plenty of water 2 ) tea without sugar as much as you like 3 ) 3 or 4 glasses of fruit juice per day . The appetite will disappear in 2 or 3 days . Continue fasting for 7 to 10 days . When you start eating again take 4 small meals daily , once a week you can indulge in gobbling whatever you want . You can do this every 3 months . You can have a headache or dizziness in the first 2 or 3 days because your body is releasing toxins who are stored in fat cells , don't worry , this happens to everybody in the first year .

I have lost 30 pounds in a year by doing nothing but trying not to eat too much at every meal and giving up soda. I have tried crash diets and those never work because as soon as you get off of it, you gain it all back, so just eating better and trying to exercise may be a slower way to lose weight but it is healthy and will last a lifetime.

Alright...here's the deal:
Your body is kind of like a bank account...if you put in more than you take out, it grows and as would be expected, if you take out more than you put in than it shrinks. It is, for most people with no unusual health or emotional matters, a simple matter of doing the math daily and sticking with it. Hop on a website and figure out how many calories you need daily to be at your weight goal. Then to lose weight take off probably 200 calories off your goal's recommended calories. Try not to drop below 1500 calories. IT WILL NOT MAKE YOU LOSE WEIGHT FASTER. What happens is that your body goes into starvation mode and rather than burning the calories, it stores it as fat, so you are tired, have no energy and won't lose weight. If you want to lose weight faster, put in a SMALL amount of exercise daily and that will essentially be more calories taken out for the day. I kept track of all of my food and all of my exercise for 8 weeks. every sunday i took my measurements and pics with my digital camera so i could actually SEE my progress. I did it slowly and healthily. (notice i didn't keep track of my weight...just actual size) At the end of my 8 weeks i'd lost 2 inches pretty much all around. Keeping track of things helped me know EXACTLY how much food i needed to maintain my weight. I no longer keep track of it two years later and have never gained it back! just remember the equation:

fat loss or gain=food eaten-calories used just by living-exercise

remember too if you are working out a lot, go by your measurements and not by your weight because your muscles really do weigh more than your fat and it can be discouraging.

'skinny' isn't healthy, so please keep that in mind when choosing a weight goal. there are websites with healthy weight ranges for height/age so DO NOT select a goal outside of the healthy range or you WILL get sick.

Instead of three large meals a day, eat five small meals. This keeps the digestives system going healthy. Cut out sugars and caffine. NO soda whatsoever. Run alot. Do sit-ups and jumping jacks. Eat few breads, but still eat a little. You need that kind of energy in wheats. Drink a lot of water. Stay active. Rest when you are tired.

The best way is just to eat right and excersise (I know you've all heard that before...) Eat a lot of protein (meat, ect.) and watch your calorie intake. There is no way to loose weight fast and yet in a healthy way, though... Good luck!

a diet is a short term thing, you go on a diet you loose the weight you want and you get off the diet. the only problem with that is you end up gaining the weight back because you're no longer on a diet. vicious circle i know.. most diets have you curbing your meals and calorie intake, have you juicing up on low carbs, high proteins, and the more diets you've tried (weight watchers, southbeach, atkins, etc..) the more you've screwed around with your metobolic system. metabolisim plays a big part in loosing weight and having energy. when you yo-yo, skip meals and over eat, you throw that system out of wack. so although it can be a quick fix, it won't last, and you'll usually gain the weight back x 2..

what you're looking for is a lifestyle change. eating well balanced meals, good clean foods and staying clear of junk food and processed items is the key. it has to be forever, not for 6 months like a diet. you have to make a concious decission to eat healthy for the rest of your life! God created trees that bare clean fruit, unprocessed with natural sugars, he created veggies that grew in the ground, free from pesticides and insecticides. he provided us with beast of the earth. you'll never read on the eight day God created soda pop, candies and chips...

Exercise is a huge factor as well! just think of it in these terms.. your body is like a car.. food is the fuel.. it makes it run.. you need to burn up that fuel in order to put more in.. if you don't use that fuel, and keep stuffing more in, soon there's nowhere for that fuel to go, but overflow.. if you don't exercise and burn off the food that you eat, and just keep stuffing yourself, there's nowhere for that food to go, but around your waist, butt and thighs... see where i'm going? eat to live, don't live to eat...

walking is the best workout you can do, you can do it anywhere, in the city, in the country, and you don't have to pay a $150 gym membership to do it either... start out slow and work your way up... don't go out gunho and try to walk 5 miles in one day, you'll burn yourself out and not want to continue, try a mile, heck even 1/2 a mile, just get that body moving... you'll shock your body and the pounds will start dripping off.. it won't happen over night so be patient!!!!! to loose weight healthy is to loose about a pound a week... i know that doesnt' seem like a lot, but it's the safest and most sure road to keeping it off.. loosing weight should be like gaining it, you didn't gain the wieght over night, you're not going to loose it over night either (at least not safely)!

if you want to really learn about healthy clean living and eating right, i suggest reading the book: The Winning Edge. it will provide you with information on how to eat good balanced meals that will provide you with the energy you need. and how to distinguish fact from fiction when it comes to dieting!

Try weight watchers. I lost 40 lbs on it. It's healthy and balanced :)
