Why do so many people answer intelligent questions with crap like "u r so fUkKiN stoopid! LoL!!1" or some random, nonsense facts and statistics that have nothing to do with the question being asked? This is especially evident in questions involving religion, immigration, evolution, etc.

To bibl frek:
I am not whining. I am fascinated by people who are so wrapped up in themselves that they have to add their two cents even when they don't have anything intelligent to say. Thanks for proving my point.

Good point but it's really just 2 free points to them, they don't have to understand the question or even give a good answer and they get the points! Sucks but true

You have a good point. I read a lot of these questions on yahoo answers and truly worry about the state of the world. People are such idiots on here. As the old saying goes, it is better to remain silent and have people think you're a fool than to open your mouth and prove it. There are enough normal people on yahoo answers to keep it worth having fun with though.

it reminds me of cliff claven from cheers always going on, but here it most likely for different reason, the point incentive, ranking, achieving a status or level.
religion well it is interpreted differently by almost everyone, and can be interpreted in so many different ways.
immigration well mainly because people feel threatened from fear of the unknown, and the laws and regulations have changed allot since 9-11
evolution is again mainly because nothing is proven and everyone has come to there own interpretations.

Because most people do not have a real view, or answer on the topic, or in Yahoo Answers case, some people are just trying to get points.

It's the points. That's the matter with Yahoo Answers. You ask a serious question and you rarely get good, serious answers, especially when it is a difficult question.

You are so right, I also hate it when they ramble on and on in an answer that goes for a mile, and it not making since, and having nothing to do with the question makes it worse.

Good question. It would seem they have their entire life to prove there stupidity, why WOULD they be in a rush to prove it? Unfortunately, you will be barraged with stupid answers within the hour.
