Before you bash this question, let me add that I love women sports, espcecially beach volleyball! all kidding aside though I do enjoy watching tennis, gold, swimming and a bunch of other women sports.
I just find the WNBA to be horribly boring, and there is no skill or athleticism among these women. My daughter can beat these women.
If i start a petition to cancel this sport, will you sign it?

I like how almost everyone on this message board was a girl except 2. Now I love women, their sports and their passions in life. I believe in qual everything however something does really bother me about the WNBA. I was watching sports center and it showed a girl "i forget who it was" but she happend to dunk. and dunk twice in the same game. Well they showed it over and over and over again, and it wasnt an impressive dunk, Techinically I wouldnt even have called it a dunk, she barley touched the rim with her fingertips, the rim did not move even slightly. so they keep replaying this amazing play over and over, and shes beating her chest and going insane and her team mates are screaming, and I was in awe of how insane this was. The girl didnt even truly dunk, and here I am watching this boring layup over and over again. It makes me sad and mad to find how women fight and fight so hard to say they have the same abilities as men, when in fact they dont awlays do. I would sign a pattition to get rid of the WNBA from television. I honestly rather watch highschool basketball, its more competivite and entertaining. And for those of you who think they have more skill than the nba, look up the shot % they are not even close to the nba. go ahead ladies, lay it right into me, i am ready!

No. I don't watch it, but I don't want to get rid of it. I tried watching for a couple of seasons, but I couldn't get into it. It was too much like NCAA ball, and I don't watch that either. As far as saying they have no skill or athleticism, I have to disagree. They aren't athletic as men (most women aren't), but they are athletic. I think the average skill level of a WNBA player is higher than the average NBA players' skill level. I think the WNBA players are better passers and shooters. I think their lower level of athleticism is the reason they are more skilled. They can't hide behind their jumping ability. So, no, you can keep your petition. And that's from a non-fan.

Maybe they shouild of made the rim lower to da ground jsut like one foot or sumthing jsut so dat chicks can dunk. LOl i mean cmon i dun see any women getting any better. Except for the candace gurl who dunked in the NCAA tournament. Dat gurl has potential. I think the WNBA should have these woman wear sum short shorts or sumthing. Not slutty short jsut like NBA in the 80s and 70s short. That would attact for male veiwers and if more gurls like candace start showing up it could pull in high ratings. They need to do the sex apeal thing. thast one thing da WNBA has that the NBA doesnt. I mean some of thse gurls look pretty damn good. I weouldnt mind seeing them dunk in lilttle shorts and lil jerzeys. Im not tryin to be sexist or anything jsut realistic. if the the talent doesnt get any better i think it would eb agood idea to thorw in the sex appeal card. I see it has an only hope. i must admit watching a woman dunk is far more excitin then watchin a dude do it for da fact that weve since carter and shaq dunk thousands of times. Woman doing it is brand new. Seeing them dunk in lil shorts would blow the ratings through da roof. they are a woman team. Start acting like woman. Ur not men. Let the men be men and women be woman. Make the league ur own. Shake wut ur momma gave ya lol.

Why would you cancel WNBA some girls right now are trying to acheive their dream by working hard in basketball to go to the WNBA if you cancel it then you'll just break their one true dream and their heart. I mean sure it's kinda boring but the WNBA players are always working hard. So my answer is purely NO!

i can some what agree with you but i for one would not sign your petition. i play basketball and the games that my team and i play are probably one of the mst exciting games you would ever see. i think the WNBA just needs to find better players make it a little more interesting not band the thing.

Yes i would, I also enjoy womens sports but find the WNBA completley unwatchable. However, the sad fact about sports is that if the WNBA makes someone money, then it will not be canceled. professional sports ONLY cares about that...

ok....i personally wouldnt sign....i play basketball and yeah, i do agree that it is sometimes boring.....high school gurls basketball is so much more interesting.....if you got rid of the WNBA you would be killing so many younger gurls dreams.....(really, not trying to sound corney)

never in my life. I love the WNBA and im proud that women around the nation are standing up for equal privliges. Plus WNBA players have more talent then men will ever have.
