I have upgraded my clickwheel 20gb ipod with the latest software...28/6/6 today.. and it shows in the screen a plug and wallsocket.. i know i maybe have to connect it to a wall socket in order to finish (flash) upgrade.. what happens if i haven't got a wallplug ipod charger ..shops are shut..... and i want to use my ipod today.. anyway round it...? thanks to all who help...

ps: i have the software installed on my laptop.. it is not being recognised anymore since i upgraded it...... help!!

thanks to you all.. i will have to dust off my dear little Minidisc player for the night.. if i take the laptop to bed, i will fall asleep and hear a big bang as it falls on the floor at 0300 in the morning... lol!!

it cant recognise it until you do the power thing, and on that yes, you are screwed until you get the wall power.

i recommend instead of buying one you splash out on a video ipod

i did, its way better and it charges all via USB so no more need for wall plugs

listen to music through your laptop tonight

the only thank you to get better area on your Ipod is to purchase one with better area or delete songs you do not pay attention to on your present day one. in case you have been to purchase a clean Ipod, then you certainly merely ought to plug it into your pc and re-upload all your music,apps, etc.

Are you sure thats what it means? I dont know why it would need to be plugged in. try the helpline from the website i think its open late. Dont spend money unless you are sure. Also, there are LOADS of help forums on the apple website, try there, they are really good.

reset your ipod and that should work it worked with me
