A Balloned Molly Fish

I used to breed Ballooned-Bellied Molly fish. They do not lay eggs, but live fry (babies) It takes only a couple minutes for her to get pregnant. She will have them in about 3-4 weeks. A female can have many batches without a male in the tank as long as she breeds once.

If you want successful breeding, there should be 3-4 females for every male you have in the tank.

It doesn't take much. IF the Male fish chase Ur female fish all the time, then one of the female will get pregnant soon. U'll notice that when the female's belly starts to grow bigger. Then U got to be careful, U'll think about separate that pregnant one in case she gives U babies (the other fish will see the new babies as great fish food).

Many fish don't become "pregnant" in the traditional sense but deposit eggs that are fertilized by the male after they leave the female's body. Pregnancy would not occur in a mating like that. For more information you should ask a vet or someone at a pet store.

Mollly's don't drop the fry until they are comfortable with their surroundings - or heavily stressed (then they'll eat them). Make sure your heater is set to 80F and there are lots of hiding places and live plants. Put your lights on a eight hour timer and feed them at the same time every day.

It depends what type of fish it is.I think you look up fish breeds if you aren't sure what type of fish it is. Then look up how long they are pregnant.
