Is Radical Feminism the enemy of Feminism?

There once was a time when feminism fought for the helpless. They faught against the business men who oppressed others in order to succeed in their selfish goals. Now, radical feminists believe killing helpless unborn children for the sake of their education and career is, not only understandable, but logical.

Decades past, feminists once resented the idea of neglectful fathers putting their careers before the needs of their wives and children. They strove to make these neglectful fathers realize how much their wives and children need their support and participation in the house. Now, radical feminists not only support women who put their careers before their children, (and are hardly home), but often encourage so.

Has Radical Feminism forsaken the original goals of Feminism? Have they been overpowered by the "enemy"? Do Radical Feminists live by the saying "If you can't beat them, join them"?

Radical feminism is destroying all the major goals women had during the 20s and 30s when we saw the strength of the woman's suffrage movement in full force.

Radical feminism is simply a reversal of roles, but it still limits your choices on what to do with life in the exact same way. Instead of being a homemaker, women are expected to be white-collar workers. But the whole point of the feminist movement wasn't to get women out of the kitchen - merely unchain them from it, give them the choice to go out and do things and live their lives. If that included cooking and cleaning, so be it.

In fact, I'd say radical feminism oversteps the line by making demands on empowering females beyond the point of equality, and that is what severely sabotages their movement. Radical feminists just want a reversal of roles so women are where men were sixty years ago, and are still unsure where the men should fit in (with the exceptance of a sty, since we are all apparently pigs).

Often people only hear about the radical feminists. And say "oh feminism thats just crazy women wanting to push out men." or whatever the case. That does become a problem when the real goals of feminism is just creating a voice for those who very often don't or didn't have a voice before.

So yes radicals are the worst enemy to the cause.

Radical feminism is the enemy of EVERYONE!

How else can you conclude this when the radicals seek to demonize men and disunify men and woman at every turn? Sounds like the work of the devil rather than a political position.

Two things that convinced me that today's feminism is total trash are these events:

1. Feminists REFUSED to condemn O.J. for spousal abuse and murder. The feminists need the Congressional Black Caucus' support for feminist legislation, and they decided that avoiding the principles on which they were founded were more important than rallying against a black man. Politics before principle.

2. Bill Clinton's lengthy track record of abusing women. The feminists gave Clinton a whole stack of get-out-of-jail free cards. Feminists were quick to call the women bimbos and whores rather than giving them support and the benefit of the doubt. Again, politics over principle.

Every movement has its day, but there is an expiration date, and someone needs to inform the feminists that their day is over.

The radical fringe, in any movement, does serve a purpose, namely, it makes the moderates seem very reasonable. They also help keep the moderates honest and true to their original cause, as they (the radicals) are almost always the first to cry foul at any perceived slight or sell out. And besides. it would be the antithesis of feminism to deny any woman her voice, merely because it does not represent the majority opinion. That said, I do not agree with radical feminism, as I think it is more about separating women from society than it is about incorporating them into it. However, I'm glad that they are out there on the fringe and readily acknowledge that many of the achievements of feminism were born on the radical fringe, before being nurtured to maturity in the moderate camp.

I think the problem with American Society is that women do not take the time to raise there children properly. When I say properly I don't mean manners but more nutruring there social and emotional development. Just being a mom.
