Reading through the answers to your question I'm afraid that they are correct. We will never have true peace because peace is not just a lack of war but is the presence of Justice and Freedom. Sometimes we as people are like crabs. You put one crab in a bucket and he'll crawl right out. You put two crabs in a bucket and when one tries to crawl out the other will pull him down. I have over the last few weeks seen a lot of hate, I am usually an optimist but sometimes I wonder.

World peace sounds wonderful. The ultimate goal.
Let me ask then. What did Chancellor Adolf Hitler wish as his ultimate goal?
It was world peace......but only after he could become its supreme ruler.
I feel world peace cannot be achieved by peaceful means...
..at least for the foreseeable future.
I dearly wish that were not the case, however our very human nature has sealed our fate.
We are both the beast and the angel. That's what makes us so unique and so troubled.

There will peace in the world when people stop being self-centered, and cruel. You truly have to know that we all are here together, and that together is how we make things happen. We all are connected to one another what happens to the next person will have a direct affect on me as well. But as to tell you when we will have peace I can't say! But one parting word, Peace is in every one one us! You just have to look inside yourself to know that it is there!

As long as somebody in power has negative thoughts about another country or another power, world peace can never be reached. At our present stage, we are far from world peace. Our minds are 'programmed' to be negative about many things, and until we can overcome these negative thoughts, world peace is out of our reach.

world peace will come when Jesus Christ returns and sets up the thousand years of peace on earth. Be sure you have excepted Jesus as your savior. Read Romans 10:9-10

As much as a lot of people hope.... I don't think the world could ever have peace. One way or another there's gonna be a country that has something that another country wants and they end up going to war just because of it. :(
I wish we could have peace one day. :)
