i would have to say the russell's viper, followed very closely by the australian taipan... now had you said "deadliest" snake that's a different answer. but russell's and taipans are the most dangerous because they bite the most people and domesticated animals and are lethally venemous.... but they are not nearly as "deadly" as say the black mamba, fierce snake, or sea krates...

Most venomous snake: The Hook-nosed seasnake (Enhydrina schistosa) from The Perisan Gulf to Southern Asia is considered to be the most poisonous. Its venom is estimated to be 100 times more potent than the King Cobra. But few people are killed by it because like most seasnakes, it is shy and gentle and seldom bites, even when handled by people.

Inland Taipan (Oxyuranus microlepidotus) from Australia

Deadliest snake: The King Cobra (Ophiophagus hannah) from India eastward to Vietnam, southern China, and the Philippines, and Southeast Asia through Malaysia and Indonesia. It is also considered the longest venomous snake, averaging 3m with the longest verified length at 5.58m. Although its venom may not be as toxic as the hook-nosed seasnake, the King Cobra can inject a larger quantity of venom. Its glands can contain about 6 millilitres of venom, which is enough to kill an Asian elephant.

It's a pretty loaded question... Depends on venom potency, venom yield, and potential contact with humans. The Inland taipan of Australia as well as some sea snake species are considered some of the most venomous, but I believe that the most bites occur from the russels viper and various cobra species (in highly populated areas where people are encroaching on their habitat). Also, who cares HOW deadly a snake is? Whether it kills you 2 times over or 200 times over, dead is dead.

Either the black mamba, the king snake, or the carpetbagger. You'll have to look them up, in the encyclopedia, but there's a good start. Hope it helps. Be Cool!
