The only real solution is delivery, but of course you need to wait about 21 more weeks for that. Tums are the next best solution that are safe. And you can consume as many as needed. Good luck.

Make sure that you're continuing to eat in small portions. This can also cause heartburn. Everyone will say dont eat spicy food, but there are other foods that can cause heartburn, such as milk and broccoli that can also cause it. Don't lie down immediately after you eat. Sit up instead. I"m not going to say walk around, because I'm not that far behind you and I'm exhausted! Avoid late night snacking - this can cause heartburn through the next day.
Antacids suck as Tums, Rolaids, Gaviscon, Gelusil, Maalox, Mylanta, or Riopan may be used. Riopan contains significantly lower amounts of sodium and may be preferable. Avoid baking soda.
Make sure that you're continuing to drink plenty of water. Not drinking enough slows down the digestive system, and will make heartburn worse. Will also cause constipation.
Personally, I like tums with calcium. I eat about two at a time, they taste ok. I've been drinking tons and tons of water, and havent had heartburn. And - still eating green onions from the garden.

Ok the Old Wives Tale of heartburn being a sign of a baby having hair when it's born is so false. My daughter had a head full of inch-long hair but I had NO heartburn during my pregnancy. Anyway....try all the over-the-counter indigestion remedies and if nothing helps, go to your doctor, maybe they can prescribe something stronger. Good luck.

This does not sound like heartburn...this can be a literal burning feeling, like acidy or whatever. You do not sound like you have got acid reflux disorder or some thing like heartburn. Rolaids will not hurt you despite the fact that, should you wish to take a pair. But I might Drink a colossal glass of milk and devour a couple of crackers, probably there's whatever small caught for your esophagus. See a health practitioner if it doesnt get higher. I am definite you're pleasant...well good fortune!

Ok..well..I had some serious heartburn..mainly at nite..I slept with a bottle of mylanta by my pillow..
Try taking tums before you eat..after as well..some mylanta maybe..they have a cherry, mint, and orange flavor which was pretty good and was cool going down...
while i was in the hospital they gave me Zantac 75...It did the trick..it is kind of expensive and ask your doctor because it might not be for everyone...they should be able to give you some advice..
good luck and congrats!! You're almost halfway done!

with Calcium even!
If it happens at night, try sleeping upright.
that always helped with me.
And of course avoid food that might cause it, like spicy foods.
Congrats on the baby!! I'm 33 weeks and let me say honey, heartburn is the least of your worries at this point :)
Hope that helps!
Good Luck and take care!!

Tums...there's an old wives tale that if you get a lot of heartburn, you're baby will be born with a lot of hair (mine was...I had heartburn that could take down an elephant) and he had a whole head of blonde hair...check the dosage of tume...you can only have so many a day.

The joys of pregnancy!!! You will have this until you give birth...
Tums or Maalox and then it only helps a little.. but it does help!! no matter what you eat or drink the heartburn will be there..
Congratulations!!!
