Beware - she is a member of the Pine Cone Sect! They line up the cones in ways that have special meanings only pagans would understand.
;) - just kidding.
There may be some pine seed left in an open cone but it would be better to take the seed out of the cone to plant them! I have never seen anyone plant the whole cone!

If the pine cones are open (you can see space between the chips) it is unlikely. When the pine cones open...they release seeds into the air to fall to earth whereever. If she really wants pine trees, she should just purchase them from a reputable nursery. Maybe she doesn't expect them to grow....she just wants to make people ask questions!!!!!

Yes. The pine cones are the seed pods of pine trees.

Not gonna happen! The seed of most pines are in the chip of the cone , not the base of it.However, It would be fun to sneek over there and replace her cones with some real pine seedlings just to see her face.

Yes- but it will probably take a little while because the cone is a seed pod that has to fully open and let the seed out, so it can germinate and grow. If the cones are barried it may take a while.
