I know it's cruel, but hairspray works--when it hardens, they can't fly anymore. I wouldn't do it, though. It's too mean.

Here's a site that has the recipe, it gross that a fly is in the house, I shut all the doors and the window shade, open the main door with the screen shut he will be attracted to the light, when he lands on the screen then I let him out, if that doesn't work, I shut everything and turn on 1 light and wait for him with my shop vac. I hate flys in the house...
