No money is not the root of all evil... Money in useful in that it can be used to buy things.... I heard an illustration once: Imagine if you needed food badly, and all you had to give to the butcher was your bike? The trade might work for you but what would the butcher do with bike? Money is the currency that can be immediately tranferred for goods and services. So money is necessary. There is a scripture that says money is necessary for protection. However, it is the attraction that people develop towards money that becomes evil. It is a condition of the person's heart which decides whether pursuing money becomes evil or not.

No it's what you do with it that counts, and money has that affect on people that they change so quick when they get some. They forget those close to them, but what it comes down to is what do YOU mean as evil, some might say that just because someone keeps the money to themselves and don't give any away is evil, but are they, or are they just tight. True that people with money don't do enough good with it, but again it does not mean their evil.

no. money is just an object or THE condition in which good and evil may have the potential to lord over. it is only those who decide who would make something the root of evil.
