I agree. What makes it worst, he was told to wear a helmet.

Ben is a professional football player, but he is still a young person. Young people take more risks. He is still a human being so I don't know why everyone idolize these people like they are gods or something. Our society is going to the tubes. The Greeks and Romans started to idolize their sports heros and look what happened.

A teacher is a role model, a parent is a role model. A football player provides entertainment. No more, no less.

I am more concerned that he did not have a legal license or permit than his wearing a helmet. In fact, he and the lady involved in the accident (who was from out of state too) both got tickets for their driving.

I personally have driven that intersection for years and it is not a bad intersection if you pay attention to the lights.

He pointed out there was no law that requires him to wear a helmet because everyone was acting like he committed a crime. Now to those who bring up that he was cited for failure to wear a helmet, that is because he didn't have a license and that was what made it illegal. As to this who thing let's bring up some facts. Fact he rode ALOT more then that time. This wasn't his first ride out. He says he normally rode in groups. Don't say one night out like he didn't do this normally. Fact according to police he was going UNDER 35 when he ran into the car. The report stated he was going the speed limit, which was 35, and not even that when he hit the car. FACT it was the WOMAN'S fault. She was citied for FAILURE TO YIELD WHEN TURNING. If you are turning you have to yield to the person going straight. Yeah it is stupid for someone getting paid like that to take that risk. He was also a kid who thought he was invinciable. That happens. Oh and pools come on they could hit there head and drown, would you say that was stupid. I could find all kinds of things like that.

I really think he made a bad decision. He should have learned from Kellen Winslow Jr. or whatever his name is. These guys make too much money and they get anything they want in life why would you leave your house without a helmet. I would have bought him a helmet dang! The NFL should make it a rule that when these players keep doing dumb things then they need to suffer just like one of us. They get all the breaks because they have money and thats why the league is having problems with all of this years draft picks.

Yes, Big Ben showed poor judgement by riding his motorcycle without a helmet. However he isn't the first twentysomething to do something stupid and he won't be the last. Thankfully for him his injuries don't seem to be career or more importantly life threatening. Hopefully he will learn from this.

Yeah...It was pretty much a dumb idea

There is no law against not wearing a helmet while riding a motorcycle in PA however. Matter of fact, most riders in PA don't wear a helmet for that reason. Stupid? yes. Illegal? no.

Speeding- Stupid
No Helmet- Stupid

He makes all his money on his physical ability to preform. Apparently there's no brains to back that up.

Yeah, he was stupid. Even if the accident wasn't his fault. I think players are stupid to risk their careers, especially the ones that risk it by doing drugs, or just doing stupid tricks on their brand new motorcycle. (I'm looking at you, Winslow)
