I think a 12 year old girl can wear makeup if it isn't too dark. My daughter was going into the 7th grade at 12 years old and I let her wear it. Her makeup was very light and she looked good. When we went to an open house at the school, there was so many 12 year old girls that had so much makeup on they looked like clowns. Go light!

Ummm.... I don't think so. But i have a friend that just turned 13 in november and she started wearing makeup when she was 12..But she really doesn't look like she's 13 because she is really well developed. She looks like she's 15 or 16..... And that had nothing to do with this question did it?

It's up to you if you want to wear makeup. And if it's okay with your parents. So if you like wearing makeup and your parents let you then I say yes, it's okay for 12 year old girls to wear makeup.

I think that makeup is like a popularity, self esteem thing. It's OK to wear like lipgloss and a tiny bit of blush to look a little nicer. But do know heavy makeup causes acne later on, because it clogs your pores, so be sure to use a exfoliating soap before bed to get it off and clean your face, also you should check with your parents.

No, but it is OK just at home for dress up. But not outside.
My 1st hubby said it's a signal that the person is available for dating and sex. 12 is too young for that. It's the cultural meaning of wearing makeup. I hate makeup in general and don't think anyone should ever wear it.

I started wearing some makeup when I was eleven, though I wasn't officially allowed until I was thirteen. A little bit is okay, I think.

At 12 you still have smooth baby skin. Yeah puberty might kick in but if you wear make up it'll make your pores dirty and the acne will get worse.

Sure the natural look.I did, and still do!!I don't like the way some ppl wear makeup so dark it ruins there natural beauty.
